*Ding. That’s another order up and another customer happy. I live to serve, at least until 21:00. That’s when the store closes, and I can go down the rabbit hole and into my home. *Ding. At home I’ve got quite a lot on my plate. My daughter needs help with her homework, and there are chores to be done. I live to serve, at least until 23:30 when my daughter goes to sleep. *Ding. When my daughter goes to sleep is when I really have time for myself. Sometimes I get an early rest, but other times will meet Zhang, my lover, and sink into sweet pleasure for a few hours. I’ve often seen Zhang without a grin, but hardly a grin without Zhang. *Ding. Most mornings I feel like Alice from Wonderland—in between realities and not quite sure what’s going on, but fully committed to the roles that I find myself in. Most of the day, however, I feel more like the Mad Hatter, punished eternally by Time, only by not having enough of it. *Ding. That’s another order up, and a reminder to be in this present moment.
