They say the closest you can get to another person without having sex with them is to wash their hair and have them wash yours. This act of mutual caring, of running your fingers through their hair, of massaging their scalp as warm water rushes over both of your bodies is truly an unparalleled experience of modern humanity. The only thing that rivals the excitement of the action itself is to watch from an open window. Now wait! Before you call me deranged or sick, let me explain. I am an artist, you see. A painter. I used to paint normal subjects – landscapes, even baskets of fruit, bad copies of Leonardo – but once I mastered these, the craft became a bore. What’s a basket of fruit after Caravaggio but the exact subject? So I’ve moved on. I catch subjects with their pants down (sometimes literally), capture it in my mind’s eye, and transpose it to the canvas. People today see my genius as depravity, but future generations will thank me as the only one brave enough to show us as we really are.
